Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I doubt very much if anyone has one - too new.

No, you'll need a learner permit and the MT isn't in the category you could ride on one.

Car licence is irrelevant, see the sticky here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056323977

btw - how much was the MT-03 in the shop ?

I use an MT-03 for training category A2. They are 660cc engine and 33kw great fun to ride with sweet handling. Takes a bit of time for newbies to get used to the big single cylinder engine but they are a hoot.
If your over 18 and under 24 then you can do your ibt for the A2 on one of these no problem. If your over 24 and want the unrestricted permit then you would need to use a bike over 40kw for ibt (50kw from November)

Apologies, I was raving above: I was thinking of the new MT-09. Mea maxima culpa and all that :)

Btw - like that MT-03 now that I look at it.

I thought that alright. Btw the MT-09 is being mentioned as Yamaha's best bike since the R1.
Big words to live up to.

They have a pretty good track record of moving the game forward though.
Its relatively cheap, powerful enough, comfortable, light and can probably be made to handle better once the tuners get the suspension and jerky throttle fixed.
I believe that 3cyls is the direction they are moving in for a lot of their development now.
