Removing paint from rim without damaging undercoat

So I have an aluminium rim with a not-so-pretty manufacturer's logo painted on it (it's not a decal). I'd like to remove the brand to leave a plain navy rim.

Can anyone advise the best method / product to remove the paint without damaging the underlying navy?

Are you sure it's not a decal under clearcoat? Assume this is some sort of hipstery track wheel?

    Hipster 4 life.

I've no idea re the decal/undercoat, what I don't know about paint is a hell of a lot.

As a test a razor blade will take off the logo paint without (seemingly) damaging the undercoat, but that may take til Christmas to do the whole rim!

Pic of an identical rim (white, mine is navy) if it's any help:

Try a bit of acetone on a spot (rub it with a rug), if the graphics are above the clear coat it should work like a dream.

Bit of light steel wool will also do the job if you're careful.
