    Hi,
I wrote to the Credit Card section on the 5th October instructing them to cancel my credit card and told them to take the stamp duty out of my current account - there was nothing else owed on the card as I don't use it because I have another one.  Anyway,  I have not heard anything back.  How long does this process usually take?

    Hi sitstill,

    Thanks for your post.

Credit Card Services cannot debit the stamp duty for a credit card from a current account. The funds would need to be transferred to your credit card and then debited from the credit card. If you call Credit Card Services on 0818 251 251 / 00 353 56 7757747 a representative will be happy to look into your request.

    Thanks

    Billy

Thanks.  Would it not have made sense for them to contact me and tell me that?

    Hi,

Credit Card Services may have sent you a letter advising of this.
If you give them a call, they can confirm it for you.

    Thanks

    Billy
