Nintendo 3DS XL or 2DS

I've got Pokerus, or Pokemon Fever to the non Poke-folks out there.

I need to get Pokemon X/Y and I need a 3DS XL or 2DS to do it.

I would much prefer the 3DS XL however im balking at the 220 euro asking price in Irish Retailers, the 2DS is around 130 in Smyths which is much better, but im hoping the 3DS XL can be found for under 170???

Also quite happy with 2nd hand!

After seeing a friends 3DS and his admission that he always turns off the 3D I think i'll be going the 2DS route for the 70-80euro saving in Smyths if theres no better offers, Gamestop seem to be closest but at 170 for 2DS and Pokemon.
