Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hopefully. You point a gun at someone you deserve what you get.

Agreed, the :/ wasn't meant as sorrow towards him.

Cops in Brazil probably see too much of that type of scum to be worried about paperwork and trials. If he'd shouted 'Police!' there'd probably be more gunfire and danger to him and other bystanders.

Pop, pop, and one less p.o.s. to worry about.

Thats Brazil if I am not mistaken, life is pretty cheap.
What happened to the hijacker in shorts? He just overbalanced and let the bike crush his leg and then the bystander took the gun off him?

I couldn't hear any shot, he just toppled over I think.

If you pause it when the biker walks back over after the cop shoots, it looks like the thief is dead. he's lying still on the ground, not moving or screaming or whatever and the aftermath shows someone wheelng the bike out of the way and no sign of the perp.

    Indo link here

    I reckon he's dead.

Exactly. Once you brandish a gun, all bets are off.

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Hes still alive at the end of the longer video, a little bit of red on his arm. Maybe the cop just winged him.

However I think it was very careless of the cop to just wing him because the bullet would have kept traveling and the biker who was hijacked was right behind him.

According to the link, the shot guy is dead and they are searching for his accomplice.
After viewing the liveleak version its much clearer, The cop shot him from not more than 10m away. The thief was directly in front of the cop, the biker was off to the cops right.
When dealing with an armed hijacker the cop had no choice, he had to act and fast.
If the hijacker started shooting then all bets are off as to who gets shot.
    IMO the cop acted properly.
