Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can I set a contact to activate ringer if phone on Silent profile?

    Hi all,

    I always set my phone ot silent at night so as not to disturb the baby and if I miss a call, so be it. My theory is if it's important, they'll leave a message.

    However, if there's an emergency, there are a couple of people who could ring me and I'd like those numbers to ignore the Silent profile and activate the ringer.

    Is there a way to do this ?

    Plenty of apps can do this. Tasker/Llama/Locale etc. Am sure there are standalone apps to do it too.

    Quiet Sleep. It does exactly what you want. There are free and pay versions.

    Never thought about Tasker doing this. I already have it too.

    One of the few handy things iOS has as standard that Android doesn't.
