A PILOT SCHEME that encouraged families to take up residence in Limerick and Waterford Cities will be extended to Cork, Dublin, Limerick and Galway in 2014.
Under the plan, home buyers and commercial property owners can apply for tax relief on the refurbishment of historic buildings.

    Good news surely?

Yep really good move. And nice to see Kilkenny being treated like one of Ireland's main cities, have been seeing that more and more lately.

New version of section 23, not bad if it actually uses existing infrastructure.

Nothing in that article mentions Kilkenny, just the headline, which is odd

Say what you want about parish pump politics etc but this is true. We were neglected long enough without a minister.

Dead right. Everyone else has one/had one. Our turn now and make no apology whatsoever for that. Kilkenny is a great location and a very wise place to invest be it government or private enterprise.
