Winter boots - help!

It's that time of year again. I need some new winter boots but am having great difficulty finding any! I have wide feet, especially toe area, so anything pointy or narrow in the toe area is out. I was originally hoping to find some black leather, calf length boots that would go with anything, including formal outfits, but at the moment I'd be happy with anything.

I used to get Rocket Dog boots because I loved the square shape at the front of them, but have found the quality has really gone downhill lately.

Can anyone help? My budget is about 70 quid...

Have you tried these? Bought mine a couple of months ago, they're sooo comfortable (once you break them in of course!)

They're lovely but I think 90 quid is ridiculously steep for boots that aren't leather :(

Have you tried Ebay? I find it great for things like boots and coats- you get the quality but not the price tag of new stuff. Got a lovely pair of leather boots last winter for ~£20 because no one else bothered bidding.

Alternatively, Next have nice footwear/boots in at the moment. And New Look do good biker and calf-length boots IMO.
