Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I didn't realise such a product existed.
I was trying to find expensive TV stands with beam-thru / IR friendly glass for child proofing, but this solution is cheaper AND much better for signal reception.

I see the first device supports two frequencies... 38 KHz and 56 KHz.
The second cheaper one only supports 38kHz.

I performed a quick search for Samsung TV Remote frequency and sony tv remote frequency, and they seem to be at 38khz.

So I imagine you'd make a list of your remote controlled equipment and search what frequency they operate on.

Good thinking to check the frequencies, didn't spot that difference myself. Guess we're both glad about this thread and have learned from it!

I've decided to go for the more costly one, with electrical safety in mind since it'll be plugged in 24/7.

Will be ordering it in the next few days actually, if we live near each other would it make sense to split the postage. I could contact him and ask if we buy two, will he throw in an extra lead (comes with two, could take up to six). PM if interested.

Thanks, but I'm not sure if I'd go for that specific model or not.

I've 5 devices that I'd like to protect in a cabinet, and it only comes with 4 emitter leads. Although I like the length of the emitter cables... but will browse around first.

Grand job. Hey - if you find anything better, would appreciate the heads up.

I sent them an ebay message asking if I bought two together would they throw in another lead or two, so if they get back to me with anything promising I'll let ya know.

Would anyone have seen a product like this for sale on a UK website? The ones I've found on ebay aren't supplied with IRL plugs and I'd rather not use an adaptor if I can avoid it.
