Has anyone experience of buying tickets for games in Germany?

I'm in Berlin in Feb, and unfortunately i'm there a day late for Hertha v Freiburg, but Wolfsburg are playing Sporting in the Europa League on the Thursday, and Wolfsburg is only a short trip away.

I've been looking on their website and there appears to be a ticket purchasing option, but the tickets aren't on Sale yet.

Is there much hope of getting them that way or will they sell the game out?

What's the story with BBC headlining of Barça ?

This weekend La Liga headlined over the Man U defeat of Arsenal and Chelsea extending their lead at the top.

I know Messi broke records - but still the English league should prevail on the BBC ... why not have Roma or Bayern headlining ??

Very annoying accesing the BBC sport app and seeing that team headlining and having to scroll down to get to the Chelsea report.

You are seeing an international edition of the page or a page relevant to where you are.

Anybody ever get tax back on a Postgraduate course? Currently helping someone claim for it and would love some advice, particularly on which tax year you would put on the form if the 2 installments are made in different years (1 in September, 1 in January)

Any advice I'd be very grateful for.

Mine seems to be gone as well. Haven't noticed 'cause I've had wifi all day, but when I turn it off I've no data. That's an odd one.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Looking for a bit of help lads.

Want something that I can stream matches onto my tv. I still want to use my laptop while doing this so don't want to use this for it. Is my best bet a tablet and just HDMI it?

Yeah see I have chromecast but the stream goes to **** when I try to cast it to my tv. No idea what the reason is for this. I tried another chromecast with the same result. Yet when I simply chuck a HDMI in straight from laptop to tv it works fine

    Thanks by the way Sheriff!

    Android TV box?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

Is it one them paid sites? Most of them have xbmc/Kodi addons so an Android box would work.

You will always suffer a slight loss when transmitting wirelessly, although it shouldn't be that pronounced. Is it perfect when on the laptop and is there a huge difference when you cast? Do you have the Adblock for Chrome extension installed? This helps I find. Also, what operating system are you using? Vista has well documented issues with chrome, the cpu hits 100% and this also affects the transmission.

Ive windows 8 so shouldnt be an issue there. Like I get that there might be some loss but its unwatchable. Don't have adblock but is that not only for the free sites?

    Cheers lads!

OK, looks like a ChromeCast issue alright. The adblock is indeed for free sites but moreover, for chrome. Either way it's irrelevant if it works (ad free) on the laptop.
Bear in mind that there is a small amount of memory on Chromecast device as I have previously stopped the feed (youtube or whatever) and the show still plays, after I terminate the source. This means that it buffers, meaning that there must be some storage on the Chrome Cast device.
Strange that two devices have the same issue so I would put it down to some compatibility issue. To be honest - Android tv might be the right way to go.

Nice one. Will have a look around and check the BA threads. I assume its just as simple as sticking it into the tv?

I got a ChromeCast today in argos in carlow for 40 quid.
I've an old plasma with no HDMi input, so i had a converter that a mate gave me.
i had to spend 16 notes as well on a component cable to connect everything.

It's worth twice the effort and cost I put in. What a great piece of tech.

    yeah, HDMI.

it's likely it's your wireless network that's the problem. Do you know what type of network you're using - b/g/n/ac
do you have any other bother streaming with the chromecast
