In fairness to us the park is shockingly pub free. How are people meant to know where they are going without a pub as a reference?

The cross' actual purpose is as a navigational aid , before it people would wonder aimless about the park for days on end .

I think the cross was paid for by private donations (although still, of course, erected on public land.) Leading up to and during National Hysteria Week there were lots of gardai/soldiers carrying out duties effectively on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church, so I presume a substantial invoice was delivered, and settled, to account for this, right? :rolleyes:
