Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Result tonight: Limerick 1-0 Shelbourne

And the big game on Sunday, the Leinster Senior Cup final between St. Patrick's Athletic and Shamrock Rovers at Richmond Park at 3pm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,050 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

Another big game for Derry, trying to keep ahead of Rovers for 4th spot and possible Euro football next season.

Now that Pats have won the league, might they be easier to take points off? Not so sure myself, as I am sure they will want to put on a show for their fans after being presented with the trophy, but I think I'd rather play them now as champions than if they needed the 3pts, cos they'd win for sure.

Was trying to get a freebie to Dalyer but doesn't look likely, still hoping to go over and see our destiny possibly confirmed!

Expecting a big crowd? Might pop down.

Not sure what the weather is like elsewhere, but it's been pissing down in Maynooth all morning, and apparently supposed to continue with flood warnings issued. Wonder is there a risk of games being called off?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I'm in Citywest and there's a bit of minor flooding, non-stop rain since 9am.

Not at all, I'm expecting Croly to prioritise it over tonight's game though

Mervue 1 up and Longford down to 10 men. Nothing against Longford but Mervue putting a spanner in the rusty FAI machine is needed to sort out the mess they made for themselves

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,627 ✭✭✭Lawrence1895

    Derry 1 Nill up...

    Does anyone care?

Dear Bohemians, any chance to score a goal? :(

Dundalk 1 Nill up as well

I do. Fourth spot gets Europe if we win the cup.

I know who I'd rather do a favour for..

Balls, I thought Bohs were completely safe. Didn't realise a point tonight makes sure of that. We're ****ed. That game is destined for a draw.

Just had a chance go marginally over the bar here. We look to have the makings of Bray here. Hope I don't jinx it.

Ps- Mervue winning is hilariously funny.

Two magical goals in Oriel Park this evening. A 25 yard thunderbolt into the top corner from Richie Towell followed by a belter of an overhead kick from Hoban from just inside the box. Both doing their player of the year chances no harm.

Don't see how Bohs are in trouble? Vastly better goal difference than Bray / UCD

D'oh, just saw the updated table on rte, yep it's a three horse race for the relegation playoff

Glimmer of hope of escaping the playoffs now too, delighted!

Felt lady luck was going to be on our side tonight, still can't comprehend the fact we're officially relegated.

You know you've a bad Friday night, when you've tears rolling down your eyes at your local rivals losing 1-0!

No worries at all, feel for you if your team has been relegated.

Some Shels fans on here do themselves no favours with their attitude towards Celtic.

Would you go and ****e. ****sake. Must be great following a team not from your own country due to some connection that just walks away with the league each year.

As much as I enjoy seeing Shels miserable I do feel for some, it is a horrible feeling getting relegated, the memory of beating Derry 3-0 and still going down in the last game of the season still sticks in the craw..

Lost 1-0 to mervue tonight in the first leg of the play off, down to ten men for most of the match and could have lost by more so will take it. 90 minutes still to play back in Longford...

This thread is nothing to do with Celtic.

I'm not some hardcore Celtic supporter, but Borussia Dortmund (my hometown team) and they have strong links since the 1980s (Murdo McLeod was the first Scottish player in the Bundesliga).

Never mind, I'm German, still support Shels...

Hard luck on your team being relegated so. I have many happy memories of watching games at Tolka Park, lovely pitch, nice cosy bar under the stands too.

Got bit of stuffing tonight. But meant be crackers for couple of Dundalk goals by all accounts. Finished the season strong so happy enough.

Actually cant believe Shels are gone. Crazy stuff.

Completely deserved. By far the worst team this year. Blame starts from the top down, giving Matthews a new contract was a joke, and then for that man to assemble a very, very poor squad with the budget he was given, allowing better players to leave and signing crap players.
