There's like a subconcious I'm feeling vunerable look in the first phot and in the second your bright and smiling. Other than that you look like the same person just with a bit of slap in the second photo.

Take a before and after where your smiling in both and the difference won't be as noticeable.

Have you seen the film "Bridesmaids"? I can't find the specific clip on YouTube, but basically in the morning while the guy is still asleep she gets up, touches up her make-up, and jumps back into bed, ready for when the guy wakes up :D

I have! :D I guess some women would really do that. I couldn't be bothered. I like to wash my face before going to bed (hate make up stains on anything!). If he didn't like me without the make up well then there's not much to discuss. Besides, washing it off is much better, I've fallen asleep with full make up on few times and woke up with "panda eyes", scared the bejaysus out of myself!

I'd imagine a lot of girls feel a lot less insecure with makeup on, so a little bit might give them that extra bit of confidence in themselves making them more attractive while not really much to do with the actual makeup they're wearing. I hope that sentence makes sense :o

Sorry I haven't really been following this thread and i'm going off on a bit of a tangent here with this but this is worth a look if people haven't seen it before.
Really unbelievable what they can do.

Also fair play IBC, takes a lot of guts to do that! :)

I showed the pic in this thread to my wife whos a photographer and she instantly dismissed it as post-processing tricks and pointed out really obvious things like the spacing of the bulbs in the background.

That said, makup is lying, but everyone knows that, so this is a stupid thread about photoshopped pictures.

I wouldn't say it's all post, it's like one picture was taken with a cheap digital camera and the "good" photo used a professional lens on a DSLR. The background does give away the subtle difference in lens and focal length.

Before - I'm hungover to hell and have a little bit of mascara on from the night before, but that's me with almost no makeup.
    http://tinypic.com/r/scrm14/5

    After - http://tinypic.com/r/20ktytu/5
I love makeup. I love eye makeup, I love strong lips. I love faking cheek bones. I love wearing a lot of makeup during the day and I love clashing strong eyes with strong lips. I don't care that you're not supposed to do it, but it's what I feel most comfortable in, and to hell with whoever doesn't like it.

As for not getting up early to put makeup on before the man next to me wakes up? Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

Most women look better with a little bit of well applied make-up. It's why it's still used after hundreds of years. You only get so far on marketting. If a product doesn't do what it's meant to it wouldn't have that staying power. It's not always 'corrective' or 'hiding something' either. Eye-lids are never naturally purple, lips are never glossy and bright red. Torsos are never naturally covered with fine italian hand stiched silk shirts. Ears never naturally have little pieces of metal and gemstone hanging from them.

Where's the lie though? Where's the betrayal? If you brush your hair or shave or wear nice clothes you're not as you naturally are. So what? Most everyone does little things to improve how they appear. Make-up is one of them. Just like cutting your hair into a specific style or hanging certain coloured and cut fabrics over your naked body or trimming your nose hair. I don't know any girls that walk around insisting they never wear make-up when they do.

    Bull plop.

In this instance the before picture is bright and your smiling which I think makes you look better than you do in the after photo.

Why have you all done this, heres a before picture where I've got a cold sore/just got out of bed/fell down a hill. Here's my after were I'm feeling good and made a bit of effort when taking the picture.

Ye're all sabotaging your own photos.

I know I'm only a stranger on the internets but I have to say I think you've a lovely face and your eyes are stunning :o

Edit: I love messing with make-up, I've happily spent evenings when I've no intention of going out or seeing anyone just messing around with different dramatic eye makeup styles and fighting (usually unsuccessfully) with false eyelashes.

my eyelids are naturally purple, always have been and my daughter inherited the trait. There was barely a year she went through school where I didn't receive a call to come collect her because they thought she was ill and despite taking her to the doctor to find out if it was a deficiency she is fine and healthy and it really is just a genetic thing. I've lost count of the times people have asked me what happened and are concerned that I'm being beaten by some brutish monster on the sly. I do think I've mastered the skanky drug addict look to perfection though.

The women that have posted picture are attractive both before and after, so makeup doesn't make much of a difference.

My girlfriend was watching some makeup tutorial stuff on YouTube, the woman who basically transforms herself to someone else completely through makeup. I don't know her name. Anyway, the one she was watching had her wear fake eyelashes, fake hair, and even fake earlobes. I kept watching it thinking how freaky it would be if these started coming off during a one night stand.

    Also, naturally purple eyelids? Cool!

I know! It was weird, so that she can get some punk look with pierced ears without piercing her ears. Lemme try and find the video.

She even has a fake tattoo, which I forgot about. Basically if it rains, she's screwed.

Very little difference apart from the lips tbh. You look Purdy in both pics. ;)

I agree that it's all a lie. Take a banger of a car, do it up so that it looks great, like a new expensive flash model, you're essentially making it look good right? But you're changing the way it looks because you think the new flash model looks nicer.

    Poor banger.

But as long as the banger feels better, does it really matter

If it's happy to be only loved because it looks like a different model then no, nobody else's business.

There are some strange opinions of how much make up can do, it makes your skin a little better. Its not magic.

I like a bit of make up on a girl, esp red lipstick. Pale skin, red lipstick, black hair, big blue eyes and a durty smile, that'll do. :)

That's only if you assume they only wear makeup to "be loved". I obviously can only speak for myself, but I wear makeup because I feel like it makes me more confident. I like having higher cheekbones, I like having dark arched eyebrows, I like how I look with eyemakeup and lipstick.

I don't spend time doing my makeup because I want to attract people, to have people love me for how I look with makeup ( ), the ritual of applying it is relaxing and something I enjoy.
