Cooker hob cracked, nobody using it, no chips or cracks previously

    My main thought is that your contract is with the retailer, and I wouldn't be dealing with the manufacturer.

    I'd be back to the retailer, assuming of course, that you have installed & used the hob as directed.

    Is this complicated by the fact that the hob glass has now been replaced by the manufacturer, i.e. it is essentially a new hob to the one sold by the retailer?
