Hi.
Im looking to replace the hard drive in my wifes dell laptop as its given up the ghost.
Where is the best and cheapest spot to buy a new one. sata 2.5 inch Looking for 320gb or 500gb.

Pixmania is great and it's quick deliver. Here's a WD Scorpio 320GB 7200RPM drive for I just replaced in a laptop. run's very nicely along.

These 7,200 RPM drives deliver a better performance but at a price. They are noisy little buggers and the power consumption (i.e. the battery drain) is higher. And if performance is a criterion, you're much better off with a solid state drive.

Dabs is selling 2.5" HDDs from 40 yoyos.

I needed to replace the HD in my Dell Latitude some time ago. I found Microaid very competitive and great to deal with. Website http://www.microaid.ie. Dell Support gave me the telephone number of the Dell approved London based supplier who quoted me more than double in £stg for the exact type disk which I subsequently purchased from Microaid. The type required was not available via Dabs or Pixmania at the time. Might be worth looking at their website.
