Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Its going to be one of those days, Liverpool haven't got going and there are too many rusty players.

Lucas have been covering the left central midfield area and thus preventing the shot more than likely.

Ah c'mon, he would have been too far up the pitch fouling Newcastle's centre backs while Gerrard made a valiant attempt to stop Cabaye from 10 yards away.

first reaction was the keeper should have done better ,but when you see the shot from behind some movement on the ball and the bounce ........

Looked a good tackle from Tiote there

We are being trounced in midfield - people don't realise how much we are dependent on Lucas until he's not there.

Liverpool midfield is shocking. No closing down at all. Newcastle players have as much time on the ball as they want

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,797 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

That's the most bizarre corner set piece I have ever seen.

Why is Moses playing as a No 10?
He is and has always been a winger.

Coutinho is injured and Alberto has disappointed when given game time.

GlenJo doing well - Sturridge frustrating so far.

    What game time?

Sturridge changing his boots which is an excuse!

Coutinho is injured and Alberto has disappointed when given game time.

But he shouldn't be considered for that role IMO.

At least Gerrard isn't taking corner kicks. Progress.

Newcastle's defending from set pieces is woeful..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Honestly, Newcastle's defence is the proverbial whore house.

And we're the twat with the pocket full of cash getting nowhere.

    Moses offers nada, nothing, zilch.

    Off

Liverpool haven't got going at all so far. It's like most of them are still on international duty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,775 ✭✭✭✭Gbear

Newcastle can afford to just blast it from anywhere because they're under absolutely no pressure to score.
Other than set pieces (which have found their men but the finishing hasn't been good enough) we've had no goal threat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,797 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Game is just completely bypassing Henderson - Moses having a stinker too.

In fairness it was a foul and a goal scoring chance. Ref was left with no option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,909 ✭✭✭greenman09

Tiote kept him onside didn't he? Liverpool lucky to be level.
