    How old is your child OP? It's an OTC drug but some pharmacists want to make sure a doctor has recommended it if your baby is young (the instructions say babies a year and over) so they may ask you if you have seen a doc. We had to get a prescription from the GP to get it for our (at the time) 4/5 week old. A few pharmacists said that to us.

    We ended up moving onto losec in the end anyway, Gaviscon just didn't help
