Flight would be no good to you anyway. Bus would be most direct but facilities would be the issue.
Maybe train to Sligo and Bus the rest of the way. The bus part would be about an hour

Some of the buses have a toilet on them.So you could give them a ring to make sure. Then go Dublin to Donegal town direct.4 hours i think.

The Dublin - Letterkenny bus (Bus Eireann) stops in Monaghan for 10/15 minutes so you'd get a loo there. You'd have to get from Letterkenny to Donegal town then though. Have never gotten the Dublin to Donegal town bus so don't know if it stops anywhere.

Hi. This is a new bus service. Could be worth a try?

LoganAir operate the Dublin - Carrickfinn Dgl Airport route now. Journey from Carrickfinn to Donegal Town is long!!! Check it out on MAPS.

Dublin to Donegal bus stops in Cavan town

No point flying into Carrickfinn if i'm being totally honest with you anyway.

Perhaps have a quiet word with the driver at Bus Aras before you get on, they're sensitive to these requests.

Alternatively jump on at the airport which will give you 30 minutes less. Its 90 minutes thereafter to Cavan. There's a stop there for between 10/15 minutes. 30 minutes then to Enniskillen and you could jump out there again if needed. 30 minutes to Ballyshannon and then onto Donegal Town.

The 30 bus is the best way from Dublin to Donegal town though. If you were to go to Sligo/Letterkenny its another hour on a bus. Carrickfinns a pain in the arse.

    Feel free to PM.
