That Beetle hasn't moved in a good few years. Theres an old Isuzu Gemini around the corner from it too

I'd be half tempted to buy an old Gemini if I could get one. Was looking at a jap import one offered by an exporter near Tokyo and they wanted something like €€4,500 for a 1989 one. Needless to say, I wasn't interested...:D

That Lancia looks very like a Primera from the back.

Thought the exact same - just that the lights are a little squarer :)

    I don't see it!

It's a black guy sliding down in the seat with his arm up and a scared look on his face.

    Not your ornery onager

Nope, I don’t see it either

I'm using a phone, but just above the mirror I see an eye and a nose of a black face (maybe peeping around the driver's seat). Maybe it's an illusion, but I'm definitely seeing it!

^^ It always interests me how small cars from the 80's/90's look compared to their millennial counterparts.

I know its a bit of a "small...far away" illusion in that image however :P

I saw a new Rav4 in the local Toyota dealers the other day, and its huge.
Far bigger than either the original series Landcruiser or the 70 series.

Same with the Golf. Put a new Golf beside a Mk1, and it's a tank of a yoke!

No, you're 100% right. I was looking at an 84 granada parked in Kildare recently. I remember these as a huge car but the mondeo beside it dwarfed it. I'm also constantly surprised when my carina is hidden when parked beside modern hatchbacks.

    The A40 was ( Dare I say it )
    a Hatchback :)

There was a quare thick fella standing at the door, the kind of man I could picture eating raw out of season records with cast iron delf, in decade old cords

Not being smart or anything but not all A40 Farinas were hatchbacks. Only the Countryman had the opening rear window.
There was also the A40 Devon and A40 Somerset in production from late 1940's to mid 1950's.
