This check says it's a 318 but it could be uprated.

Sorry for quality, stills extracted from dashcam footage. :o

Its a Ford Popular e93a wearing an old Cavan reg.

Excellent shots by the way, a proper rural scene

I have indeed. Xiaomi YI bought recently thanks to Boards' bargain alert. :)

I wonder how many 181 cars will be on the road in 25 years time. I would guess a lot less than the few 25 year old cars on the roads today.

Those corollas were built to last. They can do mega miles and still drive like day one with no looseness or rattles. Everything in them is hard wearing and lasts a long time. Things like door hinges and wiper linkages can still be good at 200k miles for example which can't be said for many cars, even from that era.

Newer cars aren't built like that and are also a lot more complex.

Johnboy beat me to it. Those Corollas are a special beast.

I have a 97 one and given some of the antics she has gotten up to without a moan that would have levelled almost anything else...

I'm gonna be buying another soon enough.

I think they could be saying in 25 years about Tuscon Curdies what we're saying about corollas now.
