a battle scarred R19 (to give Duke the horn :D)

always had a soft spot for the Twingo.. a friend had one in Germany in the early 90s, huuuge space in them for such a small car

You gotta wonder if that Twingo was performing an emergency stop or the front suspensions are just totally gone :D

This morning I've noticed that cars around Dublin seem to be getting older, notwithstanding the economy going quite well. A lot of 10+ years old cars, especially of the "premium" variety. A bit odd considering the insurance load on these (my own car is 12 years old, so I unfortunately have first hand experience!!!)

@ Duke - that's a well written ad (I wouldn't know much about campers, but I'm starting to get the itch for one - you or your folks have/had one I think?)
I saw that Talbot in bray, and it appears to be a local one, apart from the UK plates of course :)

@ H3llR - I reckon the fronts knackered :D - it was going over a raised ped. crossing, and not at any great speed either

I've had a good number of those Talbot/Mk1 Ducatos in and out over the last 18 months or so. They are hard work, all of them. Between rust and head gaskets and dodgy gas/electric gubbins.. I would recommend spending your money on a nice few weeks in Spain instead :D

Well that's burst myself and the missus' bubble on that Talbot.

^ and a similar vintage Charade in Bray - it's always parked in the same spot, never seen it move or on the roads..
The Golf was on original Irish "Ace" plates, looked very smart.
The Benz was in Dublin, great condition too.

    It's a nice saloon.
There are run-out hatchbacks on 00 plates around.

Still amazes me how well what is at heart a simple design - works on the E30 styling wise.

That one is pretty much the worst case scenario styling wise on E30.

    1) black/dark grey colour - E30s always suited lighter colours like silver etc

    2) base 316i.

    Still looks great however

Edit though the car was black but on 2nd look not sure
