    Not specifically an 850 according to this, but all seems like a great spec!

    I was very surprised by the age of this. I didn't know the two Pandas went back to back in production. Left hooker is part of the explanation.

    Another VW, in Cavan town.
    Don't know what engine he has in it, but it's not a 1.6 NA diesel ....

    Jeez you would not want to hit a big pothole with that pick up. That would be a new wheel and suspension no doubt. I doubt it's much use off roads either on them silly looking wheels. They obviously have something unique and rear but them wheels are not making it look any better just stupid that's all.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

    It is actually registered as a 1.6 diesel. I agree about the wheels though. A set of Gti wheels would be far nicer.

    It's rare enough I get to play passenger. It's even rarer that I manage to time the camera this perfectly. 92-WH import on the M4 (eastbound) before Kinnegad.

    By jaysus it's rough. The wine mirror on it and the odd wheels.:pac:
    There's another 15 years left in that car yet though. If rust doesn't get it.

    At a minimum.

    further to a couple of recent posts;
    the Renault 11 Irish Player posted, I often see this around Greystones, looks remarkably clean & original
    The Fiat Panda boombang posted is a daily driver, owned by the family of the Gelateria its parked outside on Bray seafront
    and the VW Polo - the first car I actually owned, as opposed to being one of my a named driver on my Dads car, was an '87 Polo Fox. I bought it off an English guy who worked for the same company as me back in the early 90s. Despite the slagging I got ("nuns car", "breadvan" etc) it was a wee cracker, 1.3, tight as a nut and gave me a set of wheels when everyone else was bussing it or bumming lifts.

    here's some recent spots around north Wicklow..

    That Giulietta must be one of the rarest sights on Irish roads. Art from the folded paper era of design.

    I though the Panda might be associated with the Gelateria BTW. Each as authentically Italian as each other. Indeed, I was on my way to get a scoop when I took that snap. It's a lovely place run by lovely people.

    That Citroen is beautifull. We had one well the parents did have one in the 90s a big grey one. It was such a comfy car but not the most reliable unfortunatly.
