    I thought as much, although I wasn't sure if the wood was structural or not....i thought that stopped years before they were made:eek:

    Its kind of mental to think they thought it would be alright to have a wooden structural frame. Wood ffs.

    Its an import plate on that Minor, but an old one, its been here a while.

    Nice spot.

    Sorry about the **** photo, there was someone in the DS next to this. I'd love one of these things.

    Friend of mine had an AX van just like that. Until he hit a horse on the road. Horse was grand n so was he. No more AX though.

    How do ye tell what county the older reg's are from? Just asked my 39 year old petrol head brother and he said exactly what I was thinking.

    "I dunno. Dad knew em all. I could never figure it out"

    He's right too. The aul lad knew em all and tried to explain it to us many many times but we could never grasp it

    Its pretty easy, its just like learning off D, MH, TN, TS etc, but they don't use the county initials.

    A 1989 Porsche Carrera - the modern Mini just behind it was substantially taller. :)

    Just a tip, if you see a 3 character reg, you just look at the last two characters.

    Eg - AIC 1

    IC = Carlow.

    Theres really not a whole lot in it, but good luck :p

    Pretty sure when there are no details available it means it hasn't seen a tax disc since c.93!
