96 Frontera in Bray recently. I use to think these were very cool when they first appeared in the early 90s. I have heard they were a pig to drive.

Yhh the first generation were terrible they had lot of izuzu parts mainly the engine they were like a tractor, the 99 model got some nice engines and had adjustable suspension stifness but was still a bit bouncy but i loved the driving position if them.

A few from today. I wouldn't usually take a pic of a 99 Almera but the Pulsar is a bit more special I think. Had I been in my usual JDM Sunny I would have gotten a comparison pic :P I see the Hiace around the locale a lot, an old couple do driving it around, its lovely

I also got this today. Sorry about the poor pics, I will get around to scanning them in if anyone is interested. I also got a full Irish brochure on the Carina e which I will get around to uploading. Some amazing bodykits available for the Micra in the day!

I love your taste in old motors pal ha, the nissan micra/march tourbo was one of the hottest little cars back then. Remember they was also a similar model Citroën AX with mad kit and engine.

In the late 90 you could totally change the look of your car with a kit. one of my first cars was a nova with the novadose kit on it.

The AX GT and later the GTI (or the other way around) yeah they were class but not a whole heap sold here I wouldn't think. Theres just something very interesting about these though, when under the fancy kit and alloys its still a 1 litre and 5 speed if you're lucky :P

Oh yhh your dead right the 5 speed k10 model Nissan micra was very rare i think it was mostly the 1.2 engine that had it and they were mostly the 5 door models, just before the k11 came along they probably threw a few of them together in the 3door and van.

Also just noticed that the reg on the Pulsar I photo'd above is one number off the reg of my dad's old Honda Legend - 99-d-85980 that he had from 99 to about 05

The engines were very soft, though. If you took off a head or did a clutch while the engine was warm, the blocks used to warp. They would then burn oil and there was no cure apart from another block. I believe the Turbo used the same engine.

Not the worst small car in its day in fairness. BTW the 4 speeds are quicker than the 5 speeds.;)

Sorry about the poor pics, both within seconds of eachother. I've seen the Landcruiser around a fair bit, the reg is 91d8888 - one owner from new.

Saw this in Limerick at Christmas time. Photo quality is poor, I already looked dodgy enough walking around in a hoodie with a dog taking photos of cars. :D

It was in great nick though.

    Small car syndrome. PARKING :(

More like preventing a careless or jealous individual from putting a ding in the door
