Not the oldest car I've seen today, (Usual 92 Toyota's etc you get in small towns) but unusual for provincial town in Cavan. A 97 Alfa.

Cavan has serious representation on this thread, moreso than any other town it sticks out in my mind for having a lot of old cars :D

Saw this in Carrick on Shannon today, was in traffic and didn't have my phone ready so did a lap and car was still there when I went around again...

Ha, that's my Alfa. You caught me a rare day I was up that direction.
It's due for retirement in a month or two to be replaced by an Alfa 159. I'm sure I'll regret it!

It's a smashing car alright. Unfortunately some parts can be a pain to get nowadays. Eagle eyed viewers will notice a lot of similarities between my driver's side mirror and the one worn by the Fiat Tipo on the previous page. Replacement side mirrors for a 155 are very hard found!

Just over two painless years Jayo. Although I'm starting to a lot more miles so will need to finally give and go diesel over the next few months.

Thanks davycc, it gets plenty of admirers! If I don't find adequate storage for it will have to be sold alright. :-(

A local 1991 Land Cruiser. Spent its whole life near Cavan town. I think its on its second owner now. First was a dairy farmer, the man that has it now drives for Bus Eireann.

Don't know where you would post this, but I'll throw it up for the craic.. That's a Cavan Reg. from the early 80's, but it could easily be a much older import.
Was a local bus operators, the spent a few years as a Gospel Hall!

A good mate had one in that colour for a good few years. It used to wind him up something terrible when I called it pink. "IT'S FCUKIN BEIGE!" he used to roar at me!:pac:

That isn't far from my house and has been sitting on the truck for a few weeks now.

There is a JDM 323 saloon around the corner from me too and an Irish reg Saab 900 Turbo and an old Cortina. All parked up and not being used. Pity.
