Poetic licence? Even a Cossie wouldn't have got near that speed

Probably meant 150kph, but as far as I remember the Cossie was supposed to be able to do 150/155mph?

Probably imported into NL long after it rolled out the factory door, the 3-letter plates over there are a relatively recent invention

100w in the full beam, 100w in the spots, standard 55w in the fogs, there was one on the rear too so I could see where I was going because the rear windows were tinted, (ahead of my time, I was  :D:D)

They were all wired separately with individual relays and switches in the "cockpit", even one for the airhorn (cringe now)

Spotted yesterday, an immaculate Renault 18 of all things. Reg 83 KK on a mocked up French plate.

Also spotted an Escort MkII claiming to be an RS 2000 but it looked rather rusty (doors) and tired for such a sought after car.

Very nice I've a soft spot for the 18 pity you couldn't get a photo. I've great memories knocking around with a mate who had a white turbo model. Boy could that thing shift, it could guzzle too but we didn't give a damn every bob we had between the pair of us was converted to petrol....great fun though.

There is a boards member from Kilkenny who likes his Renaults and has owned 18s, a 16, a Fuego etc. Here are two of the 18s

I absolutely love those. If I won the lottery, I'd buy a mint condition low miler. I think Paul McCartney, who could afford any car on earth, was driving one as his every day car until he got sponsored by Lexus in the late 2000s. I saw two different interviews where he showed up in a light blue metallic version with the disc wheel trims, then drove off immediately afterwards.
