Another Charade (I swear I don't have a fetish for these things)

Spotted in Granard, Co. Longford, bad dashcam pic due to filthy windscreen.

I don't know where you're getting that from. Motorcheck.ie says an '82 Silver Shadow.

That reg is from Dublin 1967-1969, the silver shadow was built from 1965-1980, the model in the pikky is a silver spirt.

Either someone made a huge blunder in the registrations office and put a 1960s reg on a motor that was the wrong model

    Or

Someone took a reg off a 1960s Irish silver shadow and put it on a newly imported 1980s silver spirit

I dunno. My aul lad had a Fiat 131 654RZO and that was very early 80's. Either way the registration comes up as an 82 so I can't see where the problem is.

Edit: If the reg was the other way round, i.e. letters before the numbers, then it would be 60s alright but with the numbers before the letters its early 80s.

I spotted a lovely Peugeot 304 in Skibbereen last week. Not sure from the U.K. reg but probably mid 70's??
