This orange truck - whatever it is - said CIE on the side in faded letters. Any ideas what it was for?

I vaguely recall reading CIE used some trucks in train yards for moving rolling stock around.

Not really a rare or old car but I remember I did the pdi inspection on this car back in 1998....

The reason I remember is because I was just started my apprenticeship and spent ages on this car cleaning and checking everything was as proud as punch of it I went and parked it outside the door and just as the customer was coming to pick it up I reversed an automatic astra right into the front of it destroyed light and wing and bonnet. hated it ever since and I still keep seen it around.

Oh yeah; but I've made a bit of a name for myself as the oddball who likes to buy old stuff. I bought my Mk1 Fiesta here among others over the last few years
