Watched the film "We Are What We Are" there by the way. Not a bad movie but nothing brilliant. Want to watch "the conjuring" but I really don't have those balls.

Not a movie or book but the last two lines of Yeats' "The Second Coming" are pretty much the only things in literature to genuinely scare me for a prolonged period.

Ghost Story by Peter Straub, read it years ago but remember it as being very good, there was a movie as well, but don't recall seeing that

I saw "The Mist" (Stephen King" discussed last week, and a few people said it was quite good, so on that basis, I stopped in HMV on Saturday and picked it up for five or six euro. Have to say, in my opinion, biggest load of unadulterated crap I have seen in years, absolute drivel. The acting, storyline etc all very bad. Twist at end was kinda good but did nothing to redeem the film. I know this is not a film review thread as such, and someone else may enjoy it, just my opinion for what it is worth.

For years I was a huge fan of Stephen KIng, but when he started to churn out books at what seemed like one every second month, the quality took a dive. Hard to believe "The Mist" came from the same author who gave us "The Shawshank Redemption"

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
