Hi can anyone recommend good websites?

I use Craigslist and I do spot some good finds from time to time. There is a lot of student accommodation though and I'm past my student days, a desk a thin bed isn't for me.

There is a lot of this too: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/roo/4120544262.html

Sharing a living room with another person 'for rent'. I've even read adverts saying if 'you have a late night friend staying over, it's costs $10 extra for them'. That is not healthy man ...

    Help

I would recommend Padmapper, you can download the app or check the website. It maps all the accommodation from all the providers like Craigslist, Kijiji or whatever. I found it very useful

Thanks for the tip. :) Aggregate search sounds perfect.

I just gave it a shot, typed in Vancouver. I only changed one setting - rent max at $550 p.m. It showed 5 places in central Van.  I'll fiddle with settings, see what happens.

Edit - I think the site has had problems with Craigslist legally: http://blog.padmapper.com/2012/07/09/bringing-craigslist-back/

No problem, I know the cost of living in Vancouver can be high, especially if living downtown.

I didn't know about the issues with craigslist, interesting. I hope they can sort it.

Mate, you have to pick and area and walk around it. Many places aren't even advertised, they just have those vacancy signs outside.

" if 'you have a late night friend staying over, it's costs $10 extra for them'."
    This is unbelievable!!

I am in same situation. When I was a student, I didn't mind a room in a share house since it was cheaper. But now, I'm working, I prefer to have my own privacy, so I moved to a suite in a house, which is much better.
You can check this house rental website, it's very helpful, hope you will find a good one soon !
