Does Fibre broadband require a new copper cable?

I signed up for Fibre Broadband this morning. I was told by the salesperson that no new cabling is required - only a new socket plate.

I read in the FAQ that the "Fibre broadband service is installed on a
separate copper pair independent of the POTS line".

My DSL modem is currenly plugged into a socket in the middle of my house and not on an external wall. The cabling is buried under a concrete floor.

Any idea if I can reuse the above?

VDLS2 uses existing copper wire infrastructure to your home. No need to change any internal wiring.
