But, it's not really much use - you don't know if its a house or apartment not how many beds. So you might be looking at an estate with 2/3/4 bed houses and 1/2/3 bed apartments. They all obviously differ a lot in price.

When you do something, why do it half-heartedly. It can't be that difficult. And as for updating - imagine someone like Daft.ie or MyHomes updating once evry 3 weeks.

    What a quangooooooo

I agree. What I usually do as a work around is Google it and if its a recent addition Google somtimes has a cached version of daft/myhome which gives you all the info. I also use Google maps to get an idea on where it is.

It's a bit useless in fairness. It doesn't say how many bedrooms or bathrooms they are. It doesn't say the square footage. They even include the buyers name in NYC.

Googling the address given on the register generally brings up all the details you just listed as not knowing as placed on the ad when it was for sale.

It gives the address, and price, a search in daft and google map will bring up the house and details.

Data protection prevents giving out name. I'm surprised there even allowed to show the price of a private transaction.

As regards property size, estate agents rarely measure correctly

Home page of property price register says it hasn't been updated since 7 Oct but when I did a search for Oct 2013 transactions it showed up to 18 Oct 2013! So it must be their front page which is wrong.

Appears to be updated every 600 transactions. Waiting to reach that?

Perhaps solicitors offices are focusing on other matters in the first two weeks of the courts being open and there is a lull of transfers being registered!

In the PPR there's a line that says 'Not Full Market Price' & beside it there's a 'No'
Does that mean the price is full mkt price?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,359 ✭✭✭jon1981

It's reverse logic, if says 'Yes' then it was not full market value, if 'No', then it was full value.
