I would appreciate any help you can give me.

I have a friend coming to Ireland for a visit from South America and they have studied archaelogy and I want to show them some sites around Dublin that are open to the public this week if you have any suggestions.

    Thanks.

I don't have anything specific in mind but weather permitting it would be good to have a look around an actual site rather than a museum for example but if you can recommend a good museum for this that would be good also with an idea of admission prices a bonus. Thanks again.

The National Museum is well worth a visit and free.

Do you have access to a car OP or are you looking for sites within Dublin city and suburbs. If the former I'd suggest travelling down the N2 to Newgrange, on to Hill of Slane and either Hill of Tara or Trim Castle on the way back to Dublin. There are public tours which also go there from Dublin but your post implies that this could be out of budget.

I'm really not sure about archaeology sites in Dublin itself.

FourKnocks passage tomb in Meath, Keyholder Mr. Fintan White +353 (0) 1 8354722 before 6pm, chamber puts Newgrange in its place (my opinion)

Not in Dublin but savage, Clonmacnoise
