Only started with 18.3m so am very careful with cash as I need to sign a 90 rated left back (or a 88/89 youngster, I have Danny Rose but don't believe he'll go up ratings wise) plus need to sign 2 90 rated strikers.

I want to offload Defoe & Adebayor who are both 90 but getting on a bit. I may have a possible deal with Napoli where we have talked about swapping Defoe and Pandev but I'm not sure if I should just sell him altogether and use the fund for the young fella.

The good news is Tottenham have made their first signing today with the capture of 21 year old Stefan DE VRIJ (rated 88) of Feyenoord for 4.5m with Younes Kaboul going the other way.

I didn't want to comment until it was done one way or the other, but in truth I had made a bid before I saw you had one in there and it wasn't delayed on purpose. Initially I had my second keeper on the transfer list but even at 89 rating I didn't have a single bid for him in two weeks.

So without money, I decided to look and see where I could add even a +1 bonus to one of my positions. Akinfeev was the first name that popped up on the keeper list and at an external. Even then when I had to include Alves instead of Guaita I nearly didn't make the bid, but +1 is better than nothing for a keeper who was in the same age range.

Incidentally I'm still willing GUAITA go (89 rated GK) but I'll need a young decent keeper and either cash or an 89 rated player. I'm not expecting anyone to bite as he was transfer listed for cash from day 1 and nobody was interested, but just in case.
