    Hi,
Toilet is in the house about 7 years now. Usually been sound and working well but for the last few weeks its been playing up and filling very slowly or not at all.

Had a look under the hood and just don't understand what its up to.
I though when the ballcock rose that it would close the fill and it would stop filling, though as you can see its the opposite!

Any ideas on what is happening.
    Video attached.

Replace the diaphragm washer in the ballvalve

Job done, 1.17 for the washer (got a 2nd in case!). Had to empty the tank as no isolation valve and didn't have one to put on, will do that another day but it works a treat.

    Thanks v much.

    Great stuff :D.

You sure there isn't an isolation valve in the hotpress? How old is the house? Well worth sticking one in. Air locks are the curse of the water worker.

Anyone help with this one...rented house, so do not know the full setup.
I changed the leaky tap on the kitchen sink. Had to turn off the water feeds etc, now the warm water pressure to downstairs bathroom tap is very bad since water turned back on.....Thanks

Did you drain the tank in the attic and then refill it?

Airlock , if you have , or know someone who has one , suck the airlock through the affected tap with a wet vac, quickest and easiest way

Is it one tap for hot and cold or two separate tapes?
