My two MXIII boxes ordered from Gearbest have finally landed in Dublin. Ordered exactly 4 weeks ago, took 1 week to ship. Hopefully customs don't take too long with it and don't charge me their extortionate fees.

My M8C S812 is now in customs so took nearly four weeks with NL Post and got stung for €20 customs charges!

Should be delivered to me on Wednesday they say, it has been in customs for about a week now!

Seems to be the same in regards to shipping with most of these companies. I bought something from geekbuying and only getting shipped today after ordered last week....I guess they just bring in stock once you place order, so dont keep stock in house

Nice box, Quad core CPU and Octo core GPU. 2GB of cache. Similar spec to the Minix X8-h.

Think there is a few people on here with similar boxes.

Ya. I got rid of it for that very reason.

Going to run an Ethernet cable from the router to the sitting room over Christmas holidays. And get one of the Ethernet splitter boxes.

I bought off shiningworth on the 13th, got NL tracking code this morning, but I suppose as they're the manufacturer, it's slightly different.

I have one of these boxes for about 6 months and it's a great box. I have it on WIFI also and it streams everything and anything with no problems. I do have it sitting beside the UPC router so that does help. I did have it wired but i need the wire for something else now!! Once its near the router then it should have no problems streaming.

Another note too - dont bother wasting your time flashing other ROMs to the box either. I tried various different ROM's and XBMC versions and they all have faults, issues and various other nuances that are annoying. I have reverted back to the stock ROM that came with it and use a tile launcher for the home page. I dont use XBMC anymore either, it's jut too cluncky and unstable so it can be very annoying. I now use Plex as my media server and then various play store/sideloaded apps for tv, sport, movies etc (google is your friends here). It's 100 times more reliable now and I never have any problems with it anymore.

I would say in the 6 months i have it, it has probably locked up twice and a simple reboot fixed it both times.

You will need to buy an air mouse also though as the one that comes with it is rubbish. I have a Mele F10 and after some issues with other ROM's once I loaded back the stock ROM it works very well.

Thanks for info, the M8 seems to be one of the boxes for OpenELEC/Linux, did you try that build?

That's very expensive, message them and suggest NL could be an option to gain your business, should knock it back to €20.
    What you getting? :-)

Might be worth looking at the following:

    Link: http://www.gearbest.com/tv-box/pp_80704.html
Coupon: MXQBLG, which will bring the price to €37.18.

Guy in Gearbest who helped me with a couple of orders keeps sending me codes, he must think I am loaded  probably sending them because I end up buying them half the time :P

MXiii that I ordered for my brother arrived today from Gearbest but got stung for €18.58 for my order by Customs.

Pretty sure that's the first order I've ever had that I've ended up paying the import taxes on!

Ah well, hopefully the device is worth it!
