I'd like to see either Madness or the Specials back again. Preferably both!

As a wildcard - Pearl Jam touring their new album ?

Other than that - the usual suspects (Christy , Dara O'Brian - or Tommy Tiernan)

    Christy confirmed - July 5th, 2014

Great shout! They'd be playing the 02 Id guess.

I wouldn't mind a rock band this year. Just one. Please. One. Thats all I want.

If we're indulging fantasy - add in Placebo

Nothing can top the 2008 lineup with Neil Young, the late great Lou Reed and Morrissey.Saw the latter two, Neil Young was sold out.Since then it seems to be nothing but X Factor rejects boybands and acts aimed at the under 12s.

Is the marquee a good venue?

Is the marquee a good venue?

It's grand for what it is...a big circus tent. I've been to it twice and both gigs were great, the audience was well behaved.

Easier to walk to from the city than trying to park anywhere near it.

I love it think tis great. You either sit or you stand no b-s with it. Id prefer small venues to big ones as you can see everything..

I'm amazed at the sound quality any time I go. Better than a lot of other venues.

    Any other possibles?

    Chic perhaps?

    Tom Petty was great.

Chic would be a great call. I missed Nile Rodgers playing at the Jazz Festival last week. *Gutted*. Or even Earth, Wind and Fire! :D

Did anyone see Chic last night on the X Factor? I missed it, but heard they tore up the place!

My wife has told me that Herself and I are required to bring her Mother and Father to this. What am I going to do? This could be the first big test that our marriage has faced. She will find herself very single very soon if she presses this particular issue. I could fake my own death, but it does seem a little extreme for a Cliff Dickchard concert, Or does it?

LOL!! Take them to the concert. Drop them off at the gates. You then repair to the nearest boozer until it's over. Take a taxi home.

    Job done! :D
