Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Arsenal have some tough fixture list coming up think it will be a draw, dortmund fairly heavy on the injury list at the moment.

Really looking forward to this as a neutral (even though I have a soft spot for BVB). Hopefully a very exciting game :D

A win tonight will be another huge statement. A draw not a bad result but we are at home so should be looking to win

  • Registered Users Posts: 249 ✭✭imtdub

Being at home we should be looking for a win, Also If we want to win the group we must win all our home games.

Gutted that Flamini is injured. But Dortmund seem to have just as many injuries, Including Gündogan. Who's a serious player, even better than Götze I'd say.

Will be a huge test for us tonight without Flamini. Toughest game of the season so far. I'm going to go for a 1-1 draw.

Hopefully Ramsey and Arteta can cover us, cant see why not

2 -- 1 to the Gunners if they start like they did against Napoli.
    Giroud for first goal.

I'll miss this game due to work, but hopefully I'll catch the highlights on pornhub later.

I guess, it will be a draw...

Borussia never lost against any English team, since they invented the Champions League, afaik...but all the injuries, an it's away match, so I'll be happy with a draw.

They lost against Arsenal a couple of years ago?

Was that in the Westfalenstadion? Maybe they meant matches away from home on Radio 91.2?

Well...lack of memory then, either on my side, or Radio 91.2 ;)

This is probably my game of the night. Milan v Barca is also huge though.

Could be a bit of a non contest unless milans defence has a serious upturn in performance all of a sudden.

Looking forward to this. Dortmund have been brilliant at times this season, but also woeful at times. I wonder which Dortmund will turn up?

No Flamini could hurt Arsenal but at worst they'll get a draw and likely win imo.

This game the far more significant of the two tbh, both Milan and Barca will qualify handy enough regardless of tonights result so its a much ado about nothing really, whereas in this group whoever looses tonight will have Napoli to contend with.

Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Arteta, Ramsey; Wilshere, Ozil, Rosicky; Giroud. Cazorla on the bench.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Ozil, Giroud

BVB: Weidenfeller, Großkreutz, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer, Bender, Sahin, Blaszczykowski, Mkhitaryan, Reus, Lewandowski

    Impressive looking team from BVB

Rosicky in for Cazorla. Should work as Cazorla gave away a lot of balls on Sat but was still influential in Jack's goal. Good bench.

Goetze and Gundogan have completely different styles and positions so I don't know how you can compare much less say one is better than the other.

    Impressive looking team from BVB

    Very.

We arguably have the stronger bench however.

Once we win one of the two BVB games I don't mind.

Thinking the abuse the arsenal fans gave sahin in anfield last season might come back to bite us tonight!

Swap Van Persie for Giroud and there would not be a better front 4 in Europe than Wilshire, Ozil, Ramsay and RVP. Still mouth watering tbh.

Itv or TV3 . Which is the lesser of the 2 evils?

Group games tend to be a bit on the cagey side, hoping this one lives up to the billing.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Which one doesn't have Trevor Welch. Easy choice IMO

Reus is a machine, one of my favourite players to watch, as is Ozil.

    This game should be great.

    Nervous.

Don't really want to contemplate the nuclear situation of Dortmund beating us and Napoli beating Marseille.
