Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Zoom H1 Portable Digital Recorder - good for podcasts?

    Hi all,

I am hoping to start a podcast soon (who isn't?), and was wondering if the Zoom H1 Portable Digital Recorder was a good investment. The podcast would involve me and one guest discussing a topic for between 30 mins/1 hour. I was hoping I could use the Zoom H1, as it's pretty affordable a straightforward, then edit the file using Audacity.

This makes it easier to get to and from the places where guests would be, rather than having to set up a studio in my apartment and invite people out of their way.

Anyone have any thoughts on Zoom H1? Any other good or better portable audio recording equipment you'd recommend? Or would I be better off recording straight into my laptop and just bringing it with me wherever I go?
