Bit of a shame the Munster V Connacht game is on around the same time as the Men's game against Leicester.
    That's bad scheduling.

All interpros provisionally were set for AIL kick off time. 2.30pm up to various womens committees, coaches or whoever to look for a change. Like Leinster Ulster kicks off next week at 6.30 in Donnybrook

Wonder why they didn't ask for a change then. Get a few more numbers out to Musgrave.

1 month today the 6 Nations starts.
I hadnt posted final results of interpros....
Connacht beat Ulster 39-12 and Leinster beat Munster 21-12
Final standings saw Leinster, Connacht and Munster all finish with 2 wins from 3 games. Ulster bottom with not even a bonus point to their name
Leinster won title on points difference from Connacht, both on 10 points, with Munster back on 8 points...

Really hard to pin down where they're going to be after the interpros and after the Autumn. Big test of Tierney's program this spring. Might be a little too soon for this squad to be really successful. Interesting to see how the interpros changed things.

I think the lessons learned from the Autumn series will stand to them. Lots of new faces in the interpros this year, and the results aren't really that significant. Some players didn't feature in the series that you may expect to, and there'll be some back from the 7's I'm sure. Interesting times ahead!

Too many errors from Ireland - Scotland have a try already, and Ireland have just blown a great opportunity with a KO.

What's the record for held up tries in a row.

Try at last.....but they made heavy weather of it!

Some good hands on display here in poor conditions.

There's another try for Scotland. Whenever they get a chance, they take it. Ireland are dominant, but not taking their opportunities.

Is it just me or does the Referee not appear to have a rashers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Another great chance blown there by Ireland.....they need a rollicking at half time.

A lot of not rolling away not being pinged perhaps.

Ya, missed a forward pass and knock on too and gave a harsh penalty against us in a ruck when they girl was on her feet and entitled to contest

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

That's a try! Better from Ireland.

Our forwards are massive......but we need a kicker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,455 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

Total let off there with that penalty. Bizarre miss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ireland look the stronger team, but don't take the chances and hand over posession far too easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Ref keeps saying 'use it'......when Ireland have the ball and are going forward!

one of her mad decisions going our way at last.
    Scotland actually deserve this.

Jaysus that should be a sin binning and we get the knock on

My view is the Skill level on show does not merit live TV coverage.

I'll take womens rugby over Lords and Ladles and Pet Island which are usually on RTÉ 2 at this time on a Friday

Did she just call back for a knock on advantage after it was kicked away?

Lord bless us......try at the end for Ireland and BP win.......Scotland deserved that, the way ireland played.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,455 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

    Good score.

Scotland really will feel like they've thrown that away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Cracking finish although not a deserved win whatsoever!

Great line and control to get over and the BP try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,077 ✭✭✭✭vienne86

Luck of the Irish there......we made some dreadful errors.

Hard luck to Scotland but we'll done Ireland. Scotland threw that away.

Ref must be inexperienced or had an off night because she got a lot of easy decisions very wrong.

  • Some balls

Is the kicking usually that poor? Couldn't believe they went for the line there at the death.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,320 ✭✭✭Teferi

Scotland will feel a bit robbed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Have to laugh at Cantwell's line to open the punditry after the break: "The Scottish police will be called out after absolute theft by Jenny Murphy".

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,258 ✭✭✭✭Losty Dublin

Bear in mind that they are amateur players that train a few times a week at best. If you are used to watching the Sexton's and George North's of this world, players who train a few times a day then yes they are worse and yes they don't kick as far. Compare them to junior clubs or SCT teams and they'd compare far more favourably.
