If that's a high tackle surely a penalty try? She was the last defender for 30 yards...

So Ali Miller there broke away and was caught by the Italian... who then high tackled here about 10 meters out. Noone else around who could have made a tackle. I don't understand how it's not more than a penalty.

Absolutely. No idea how it didn't seem to occur to the ref. Commentators didn't mention it either

Ireland really miss Briggs. The half-backs just aren't taking enough responsibility for our field position which is disappointing for me. I'd love to see them but the ball behind the Italians and trust our lineout and defense to challenge them more.

One example being where we had the ball just outside our 22 and Stapleton seemed unwilling to kick it away (as kicking it straight out wasn't an option) and we just started passing it aimlessly and ended up being turned over. We need more options from the kicking game so that we don't need to rely on phase play on every single possession.

It was a HIA but she's back now. Was worrying for a moment though

Another situation there where they've overplayed 2 or 3 phases after where they really needed to kick it away.

Camera work is a bit ropey. Ireland make the break down the wing and the camera view is far too close, all you can see is the player running with the ball. Be nice if they zoomed out a bit so you could have an idea what she's running at or is she in open space.

Yes, very poor handling again. Really difficult problem to solve.
