Need to be around there Saturday and Sunday and need to bring the car - any car park around there, or on street parking that's preferably free on weekends?

Don't know about the surrounding streets, but parking on Raglan Road is definitely free on the weekends. As long as there's not a match/concert on you'll be fine.

Thanks, it looks like Leinster are playing on Saturday evening but I would be parking about 1 p.m. and leaving car there until 11 or so, so should be ok.

Wellington Road seems to be free at weekends too.

On-street parking is generally free at weekends, except in the city centre. Only private car parks, none public that I know of, other than the RDS. There is a big exhibition there this weekend.
