Does any know of any Irish Vendors that sell juices containing PEG 400?

Gathered up my old vaping stuff last week and vaped for a couple of days.
Whatever PG/VG ratio I use, it just doesn't agree with me at all.

Never tried juices containing PEG, so thought I'd look into trying some and see how that goes.

From what I have read about PEG 400 is that it is not as great as it first appeared, am curious to know, what is it about vaping that does not agree with you?

Yeah I've read before it's not that great but it's an alternative to the usual PG/VG, so I believe from what I have read.

I vaped for a good year or so, mixed my own in that time as well using PG/VG and was generally fine. But towards the end it had made me drowsy, kinda affecting the nerves a bit which sounds strange but that's the way it was going. I remember the Greek heart specialist that done an intensive survey mentioning that PG affects certain people.

Got some 18mg Joyetech Tobacco last week, was grand until a certain point when the drowsiness kicked in after a couple of days. Yes it worked but not feeling great at the same time.

Just wanna try some PEG juice and see what that is like, no harm in trying anyway.

No harm at all....possibly try some high VG juice, usually it is PG that people are a little allergic to, I know that after vaping a high PG juice my skin dried out a lot and switching to a 50:50 Mix and am fine now. am thinking about trying a high VG juice as well....something like 80:20.....

There's always the home mixing route to go down as well, am looking at that myself too, pretty much all the ingredients are easily procured.

I want to get a bit of experience building coils first though as VG is hard on coils, it gums them up. Also am fond of tobacco flavours which also are hard on coils.

Bit do a learning curve I will admit :D

Master the coil building first then think about the home mixing.

Juices taste different in all set ups as there are so many variables to consider.

So once you are comfortable with your vaping gear and have a couple of nice juices that taste and vape the way you want them to, then go about mixing your own as you will have a good understanding in what you want.

Tried all different ratios whether they be DIY or off the shelf, will just give the PEG a bash now and see.

Sorry I had not seen where you wrote that you had tried different mixes of PG/VG :o

You might have to try someone like Lennox Chemicals for PEG 400 , I got some from them years back but it had a different number after it (Used to preserve unseasoned wood) I don't know enough about it but would think that the number which I think is the moleculer number might be very important.

Best of luck with getting it, maybe someone in here knows more about it and can assist you, let us know how you get on. :)

Edit: Yes I will master the coil building as soon as I get a dripper and some wire, don't think that will be a problem and then have a go at mixing juices....

It's molecular weight and it seems to be the same apart from viscosity.

Cheers for the links and good luck making the coils :D

Will check a few vendors in the UK that stock PEG based juices if I don't see any in the Irish lists.

Well I wasn't much help but thanks, would be interested in how you get on with PEG as I am sure lots of people would be....cheers :)

Hi derra, long time an all that :)
I remember reading that PEG broke down differently to PG when heated. I don't think we vape at temps that would result in this kind of byproduct but it's worth bearing in mind. Late now so I google the stuff tomorow an get back with it.
Drowsy you say? I'v never had that but have had sleep disruption enough to make me wreaked the next day. Found it was dropping nic too low. (got down to 5mg ) Now stuck at 12mg or I get the nightmares.
I guess this makes me an addict or drug dependent now! :(

[ Edit to add first google result on PEG400 was a bit scary; thread here' http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/381521-polyethylene-glycol-peg-400-a.html ]

Good man Tommy, hope all is well with yourself this weather. Great to see you are still vaping away.

There are a couple of places in the UK from where I could pick up some PEG, will probably order some in the near future. Will read up on it a bit more but it's rarely used as few people need to use it.

I ordered a few samples of juice today from esmoke-ireland & thebestshop that were around the 12mg and 50/50, so will see how that goes.

As you know, quite a few things could affect someone whether it be too low or too high a nictotine, vaping too much, too much PG or VG etc
In my personal case, I would get drowsy so to speak or more like fatigue kicking in and a bit fidgety which normally points at vaping too high a nicotine level but it just seems to be a bit more than that.

A couple of years ago it felt like I was the only one in Bray vaping, now I see vapers everywhere most likely due to the shop that opened up in the town.
I know a few of these people and it bugs me that they seem to be able to vape all day without any side effects at all, which is great to hear but it just has me curious why I feel like crap after a couple days vaping

Will see how I get on tomorrow when these other juices arrive.

Are you still using the Bulli? Still one of my favourite atties. I honestly think there are a lot of 'noobs' who are missing out by going straight for gennies and clones/copies of quality kit like the Bulli and Clockworks stuff.

Yeah still have the Bulli, it's an ideal rebuildable to start off with. Never got much further than it mind ya, the Line didn't last long with me nor Clockworks RDA but that's another story from all the hardship we had repairing them :D

I remember writing about the mini Kayfun in it's early stages, seems to be a popular atty at the moment.

I used the Bulli in dripping mode for the best part of a year but got a spheroid last Feb. Been using that since because of its outstanding flavour and vapour and holds 2ml of juice but still think the Bulli in dripping mode is damn good. After 2 years vaping though, I'm trying to cut back now. I don't want to be inhaling juice forever......just in case.....
