City buses.

Hi,

I will be visiting Cork City next week and I will need to use the bus eireann city buses to get around. Is there a ticket I can buy that is valid on all city buses for a day or do I need to buy separate tickets each trip? If there is a ticket like this for all day unlimited journeys where do i buy it and how much is it?

There's a day saver mentioned, costs €4.80 according to the pdf above. There's also a list of locations of where to purchase the tickets. However bus ticket fares are due to rise from 1st November, bear that in mind.

Thank You. €4.80 is great value and I will be travelling before the 1st of November so I'll just avoid the fare increase.

There's frequently a disconnect between Bus Eireann published information and outlets, so I would double check that you can definitely purchase your day saver ticket from your location of choice. If you're buying from the bus station on Parnell Place, you should be fine, but outside of there I'd ring ahead to ensure what you're looking for is available.

Didn't realise prices are going up again. Yikes. Nearly a 33% increase in Cork city fares in 3 years. How bad, in the middle of a recession where everyone else is cutting prices.
