Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Two sets of speakers one sound source?

Hi all, recently done up the bathroom and am very happy with it, whilst relaxing in the bath the other night i thought it would be nice to have some music. So i was looking for some ideas to do this on the cheap and think i have an idea how to do it but thought it best to sound it out here first to see if it work or not.

I have seen bathroom ceiling mounted speakers online and they are not to expensive, so far so good. So my idea was to link them to a sound system in my bedroom (just a basic mini hifi system with a cd and ipod dock and separate speakers). So I can easily link the two set of speakers to the hifi but can I then use the speakers independently of each other? as in, on in one room and off in another without changing the wires at the back each time. I was thinking i could put a switch on each speaker cable, the ones you would find on a bedside lamp therefore being able to switch between rooms. So would this idea work? it might be a bit messy in appearance but I think it would work???

Any ideas or comments welcome, are there any nice smaller switches that can be used for this.

    thanks

You need an amp that supports multiple zones, in your case just 'zone 2'. You will then have separate speaker connections for zone 2 and you'll connect the bathroom speakers to those connectors.
