Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did nothing? He was man of the match in several classicos(2-1 win to secure the title in 2012, copa del rey 2nd leg last season). It was a huge blunder to sell him and one they'll pay for and regret.

You can drop the attitude now and we can get back to this match.

No attitude at all. Difference of opinion, and he was anonymous in a few clasicos, subbed off in one or two of them. I agree they shouldn't have sold him, but don't be so precious.

Looked like a stonewall penalty to me.

    Should've been a penalty. What a shot.

    Jesus what a hit. Unlucky.

That would definitely be a penalty in the Bernabau.

Fantastic goal, poor from the keeper.

    Wow, take a bow Sanchez.

I wanted to see him leave last season. Never have I been more wrong about a player.

    Fantastic goal. Speechless.

Ooooohhhh that's never gone in! A goal that typifies, ex amplifies that carefree and expressive football that Barcelona symbolise. It's Neymar, it's the brilliance of Sanchez, it's football as it should be.

It's sky. Watching on spanish TV and they are loud.

That's game, set & match imo.

    Sublime finish

Commentators mustn't be there, crowd noise is low which is always a dead give-away

Barca were doing nothing in second half up to then, the Real not given penalty was a big decision to get wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,887 ✭✭✭✭klose

Shades of daniel sturridge in alexis sanchezs goal there ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,375 ✭✭✭✭Oat23

    Ronaldo just got owned.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,056 ✭✭✭Too Tough To Die

Haha Alves really mugged Ronaldo off there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Little harsh on Real this second half but I think Barca are deserving of the win, tough test of their credentials and they've passed. Defended better then i've seen in some time and two moments of class at the other end.

The Camp Nou rises to applaud the brilliant, match winning performance of the great Neymar.

Xavi is just tearing sh*t up in this game. Phenomenal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Well Neymar certainly deserves that applause.

    I can see another goal.

I'm switching back to the Spanish commentary as Palmer is obviously smoking something stronger than a Benson & Hedges.

    Telegraphed shot there.....

The sound difference from Sky to C+ is amazing.

    Crowd giving it loads

Once Ancelotti gets the tactics right, and he will once Alonso comes back, along with Bale getting used to the Spanish game, they'll definitely play better than the first half tonight. Tough on Bale to throw him in there tonight, I think he'll he superb for Real though.

Yeah he was anonymous but he couldn't possibly be 100%

He'll get slated in the Madrid press though, that's how it works there alas.

Madrid had their chances in this game, Barca more clinical and crisp though.

It's one of those games best played at 11pm local time isn't it?

Big win for Barce all the same.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Real unlucky to lose that, Barca more clinical with the few chances they had and a terrible penalty decision the difference.

Real Madrid created far less than Barcelona did. Unlucky not to get a penalty, but the result is fairly correct.

Ramos is midfield and bale as a cf really backfired on ancelotti,in saying that real were denied a stone wall peno which could have made it 1-1. Average enough game tbh.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Excellent performance overall for Barcelona,a massive improvement on the performances against Madrid last season, the addition of the phenomenal Neymar proved decisive, Xavi Hernandez produced the kind of performance that few, if any, other midfielder can replicate, the controlling force in the game, a towering figure in the centre of the park despite his small stature. 6 point gap between the two clubs, Tata's rejuvenated Barcelona side continue their match back to the top of world football.

Far less? At the most it was even. Khedira 1 on 1, Ronaldo's shot, Jese's goal, Benzema's off the bar, Khedira's miss from 3 yards, Benzema's header over the bar. Barca had very little second half.

Edit: Taking quality of chance into account of course.
