Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Citeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for me.

Negredo to 'arrive' to the Premiership today.

Hope Silva starts...with Milner in after 50-60 minutes.

If Garcia starts at CB, Chelsea should create enough to get goals out of him but keeping aguero silva amd negredo out of the game at the other end is a huge task.

Navas/Nasri will start rather than Milner.

Still big question mark over who will partner Nastasic. Personally hope it's Lescott, Richards, Boyata, semi-fit Demichelis, rather than Garcia.

Dzeko an outside possibility to start instead of Negredo.

As an arsenal fan I'm hoping for a draw. As a football fan I hope it's something mad like 5 all!!

Draw please 2-2. Hopefully neither manager will have a loss of nerve.

Don't be dense! :p He wants a draw for strategic reasons but lots of goals for football reasons!

    Boring James Milner ‏@BoringMilner 6h
Just woken up but I don't know if it's 06:30 GMT or 07:30 BST.

    Boring James Milner
    @BoringMilner
The noise of the traffic outside my hotel room is really loud. Micah Richards said the noise of the traffic is loud outside his room too.

If this is anything to go buy, the hour going back could work in Chelsea's favour.

Mourinho's team selection today will be fascinating. Torres is in excellent form right now and you'd have to fancy him against Javi Garcia or Demichelis if either of those two play. However maybe he will opt for Eto'o or the direct approach that Ba offers. Maybe he'll play Eto'o on the flank, maybe Mikel will make an appearance in the starting line up and Mourinho will opt for 3 in midfield. Will Luiz play? If he does, where? Lots of possibilities and options, Mourinho's home record at Chelsea is astounding, this will be one of the toughest tests of that record ever.

In Europe, yes. League record: 6 apps 0 goals. Lets face it, he's still terrible.

Chelsea will have to be at their best to beat City ... tough test today

I think as Torres is finaly showing some form he should start with him.

    64 league games, 50 wins, 14 draws, 0 loses.

Wont lose to day anyway, City have only won twice at the Bridge in 14 attempts

City being best priced 9/4 suggests otherwise.

If Javi Garcia plays at centre half then we have a great chance.

Well I feel a bit safer with Demichelis starting...But Garcia as well?

    Very midfield heavy.

Demicheles and Nastasic in defence, wetting my lips here, lets do them!

Nastasic is absolutely fierce at the moment, Demichelis fit isn't bad either. I'd dry them lips for now!

That sounds like fighting talk :)
they are already quite moist from wine, so i prob am talking nonsense ;):D

In fairness it's a particularly conservative starting XI for us, Pellegrini never starts just 1 up front. Think he'd probably take a draw looking at that selection.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

    City bench:

Costel, Navas, Kolarov, Dzeko, Negredo, Milner, Richards

Jesus, what does Jova have to do to get a few minutes!

Is it me (or indeed the Sky Sports feed) or is it insanely quiet in the Bridge for a match of this magnitude?

City the better side so far.

I just woke up my housemate with my agonised cries after watching that. How... in the name of Christ... oh dear god... that is sinful.

Chelsea's persistence with Torres is so bizarre.

You have to think it's the owner's call. Some many managers have persisted with him to the detriment of better players like Sturridge and Lukaku that it can't be all them.

Same thing happened when he signed Shevchenko.
