Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whats the deal with the kits?

Should be a good game in any case!

I know, was thinking the same. Stripy shirts and black shorts. At least change the shorts.

Bad start for Dummet getting overpowered for the goal.

Even though one Jersey is red and white and the other one is black and white, I hate watching these jerseys on TV together, the vertical stripes I find on the TV are hard to distinguish.

    First world problem

What on earth is Dummet doing there? Letting the ball run past him in his own box

Not a world ending problem but an appropriate comment and observation considering the context in this thread.

    First world problem

A fairly simple one to solve too, do you not think?

Fletcher and Altidore are linking up nicely.

    They can't cure colour-blindness.

I'm just looking at the socks.

Looked like he was letting it run so he could get the clearance out the pitch rather than knocking it behind for a corner. Either way, it was very stupid.

Exactly, I think this is the reason they normally change even when sometimes a clash isn't obvious.

Okay first half, we defended well

I can't watch anymore of this. I struggle a bit with colour clashes at the best of times.
Half the time I don't know whether it's a great through ball or a pass back to the defender :(

As some have said already, why both sides are allowed play with stripy shirts that both have white, with black shorts is ridiculous. Newcastle have three kits FFS.

As for the match, Sunderland look far more threatening and deserve their lead. Newcastle for all their possession in the last 25 mins have not created anything worth mentioning.

Sunderland happy to sit back and pick off Newcastle on the counter. Which is the result of an early goal.

Cisse on for Newcastle. Definitely more of a threat against us

Yeah ,its an absolute joke ,both kits are too similar, you should never have 2 striped kits in one match.

The picture on Sky is also very bright for some reason ,there seems to be no standard for matches.
Some matches the picture is too bright ,others are too dark despite similar lighting conditions.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Pardew retreated down the tunnel very, very quickly, does he often do that?

Deserved win. They wanted it more and scored a goal worthy of winning any game.

I'm off to punch some kittens.

    Incredible win.

How so? Two awful teams on show. Like watching two hobos fighting over a discarded hamburger.

Seeing Borini warm up shooting on his own at half time I never would have thought he'd score,

What a beauty to win it, happy day in work tomorrow,

    Howay the lads!

We're an abomination, but I'm struggling to think of another goal I've celebrated as much as that. I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't get to experience the highs and lows of football, I really do.
