Acer 8930g adapter failure ?

My laptop has stopped working. Friend was using it while I was at work and said it flipped a fuse in the house and ever since it won't start up and on the adapter box the green light isn't coming on when plugged in. Changed fuse in plug so its not that. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance
