Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So I'm thinking of heading up to Belfast on Friday to get some Christmas shopping (organised I know!!) and I was thinking of popping over to the Apple store to get a 5s.

I know the new iPads are being launched that day so I was wondering am I completely bananas trying to get a new iPhone when everyone else is trying to get an iPad or is it a master stroke of genius??

    Thoughts please!!

Will totally depend on stock levels. The iPad doesn't attract as much of a que as the phone does, as generally more shops get the iPad on launch day such as currys, PC world etc etc no harm trying for the hone as you will be up there already.

The iPad 3 still had horrendous queues in Belfast.

Can you still even but an iPad 3?

No as the "new" ipad is now the old old ipad.

Just reading it again now and realise what he said. I thought he said the iPad 3 still *has* ques. I just read it wrong.

The Neisse was the 3, the iPad with retina display was the 4 and this one is the iPad air, I wonder what they will call next years one?

Just an FYI I was up at the weekend and there was a sign in the Apple Store saying that some iPhone models weren't available at the moment because of demand.

Macrumors is reporting plenty of stock for iPad Air. They can make the larger retina display by the bucketload, which is normally the bottleneck. Plus no TouchID means it's just the thinner chassis which is new.

Thanks for the tip off!! I'm not worried if I don't get the one I want, I'll just order it online if I come back empty handed!

Following the theft of my three week-old iPhone 5s on Sunday, I was forced to buy another today, as it seems gone for good.

I was delighted to find that the Apple Store had plenty of stock of all models today except the 64GB Gold model.

So, this time, as some sort of recompense, I scored a gold 16GB.

Horrible to hear of it being stolen. At least the thief won't be able to use it with the activation lock.
